Monthly Billing

Pay month-to-month with no commitment:

How Events Are Counted

An event is any tracked action:

Pageviews (most common)

  • Each page load or SPA route change
  • Counts as 1 event

Custom events

  • Button clicks
  • Form submissions
  • Video plays
  • Purchases
  • Any tracked user action

Automatic events (when enabled)

  • Outbound link clicks
  • File downloads

Example Usage

Blog (10,000 visitors/month):

  • 30,000 pageviews
  • 1,000 custom events (newsletter signups)
  • Total: 31,000 events → Free tier

SaaS app (50,000 visitors/month):

  • 200,000 pageviews
  • 50,000 custom events (signups, feature usage)
  • Total: 250,000 events → Starter plan

E-commerce (200,000 visitors/month):

  • 800,000 pageviews
  • 100,000 custom events (add to cart, purchases)
  • Total: 900,000 events → Starter or Growth plan

Upgrading Your Plan

How to Upgrade

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Upgrade Plan
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Enter payment information
  5. Confirm upgrade

Changes take effect immediately.

Prorated Billing

When upgrading mid-cycle:

  • You're charged a prorated amount
  • Credit applied for unused time on old plan
  • Only pay the difference
  • No double billing

Example:

  • Currently on Starter ($9/mo)
  • 15 days into billing cycle
  • Upgrade to Growth ($29/mo)
  • Prorated charge: ~$10 (difference for remaining 15 days)

Downgrading Your Plan

How to Downgrade

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select a lower plan
  4. Confirm downgrade

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

What Happens When You Downgrade

  • You keep current features until cycle ends
  • New plan begins on renewal date
  • Data within new retention period is kept
  • Old data beyond new retention is deleted
  • Team member count adjusted if needed

Overage Policy

Soft Limits

We use soft limits to avoid service disruptions:

When you approach your limit (80%):

  • Email notification sent
  • Prompt to upgrade in dashboard
  • No service interruption

When you exceed your limit (100%):

  • Email notification
  • Continued tracking (no interruption)
  • Opportunity to upgrade
  • Charged for overage if significantly exceeded

Overage pricing:

  • Free tier: Upgrade required at 150k events
  • Paid plans: $5 per 100k additional events
  • Enterprise: Custom agreements

We prioritize keeping your analytics running over strict enforcement.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel Anytime

No penalties or fees:

  • Cancel from Settings → Billing
  • Access continues until period ends
  • No automatic renewal
  • Data retained per plan terms

After Cancellation

  • Dashboard access continues until period ends
  • Tracking stops at period end
  • Data retained for 30 days for export
  • Can reactivate anytime

Non-Profit & Education Discounts

Special pricing for qualified organizations:

Non-profit organizations:

  • 50% off Growth plan
  • Verification required (501(c)(3) or equivalent)

Educational institutions:

  • 50% off Growth plan
  • Verification required (.edu email)
